Yes, at any time. But free records cannot be retroactively certified. The certification happens at the moment of check-in, using live biometric and GPS data sealed immediately on the blockchain. There's no way to go back and certify a day that already passed. Every day you stay on Free is a day that will never appear in your certified record.

Tax authorities can challenge any evidence, but they struggle to dismiss a record where the timestamp was set by external servers, the GPS was verified by multiple sources, the person's identity was confirmed by liveness detection, and the whole thing was hashed on a public blockchain before the session closed. The app works in any country and records presence anywhere in the world. eIDAS 2 certification is the EU's highest standard for electronic evidence and is what governs acceptance across all EU member states. Outside the EU, in places like the UAE, Switzerland, Andorra, or the UK, the same underlying record (biometric identity, verified timestamp, GPS coordinates, blockchain hash) is the evidence. The legal standard referenced may differ, but the chain of custody is the same and independently verifiable by any authority that requests it.

Indefinitely. A blockchain record doesn't expire. The hash written at the moment of check-in will be verifiable on the Polygon ledger for as long as the ledger exists. Tax authorities can open investigations years after the fact. In most EU countries the standard audit window is 4 to 6 years; in cases of suspected fraud it can extend further. Your records will be there whenever they're needed.
